It doesn’t.

     Man, at least, I‘m pretty sure it doesn’t. I can’t actually remember when things got like this, either. Before, a person was taught to have a lust for learning, and to suck up knowledge like a sponge.

     But now … Now learning is just too hard on people. Most of them are too lazy, too busy looking for a way to be a pervert, or to be offended.

     Oh, lessee, for instance … Not long ago, a statement like this could have been made, and people would’ve actually thought about it. In fact, someone might have read this, the information would’ve rattled about their head. Subsequently, they wouldn’t have noticed anything more.
     Really kinda weird how it’s all turned about.

     Everywhere, someone’s trying to get offended, to take something the wrong way.

     Don’t you remember what it was like before? Back when some person might read a “dirty joke” or two, but they would keep it to themselves rather than act like the self-imposed Thought Police?
