Shyamali Malakar     For a few weeks now, Fracas has been pointing out the fact that plenty of people are searching for Shyamali Malakar, and crotch shots, and ending up at her blog.
Just a few minutes ago, she did a pretty decent post about the whole Shyamali hysteria… Seriously, the girl has attained a level of geek-obsession higher than anyone I can ever remember — even after livinh through the Sam Fox, Amy Weber, Teri Hatcher, Alicia Silverstone, Kate Moss, Gillian Anderson and Callista “Ally McBony” Flockheart years (those were prior obsessions, not my picks).

Fracas' Marilyn Widget     Fracas is also doing the “FuelMyBlog” thing. She’s entered the Design a Widget competition over there, and done a helluva job, too, but they haven’t updated the competition page with it just yet.

     Nice job, Fracas!

Now let’s see if we can channel teh Internets your way a little…

Ya know, though, Fracas, I still think doing one with Shyamali and ALT’ing it “Shyamali Malakar Nude” would get some serious traffic headed in your direction… ;-)

(God, after writing this, I feel so dirty…)

FuelMyBlog - Dead Last to Number One in Ten Days

Okay, it’s almost midnight … But it looks like, with just a few more clicks, we’ll be the #1 most voted blog on FuelMyBlog!

Ok, well, as of 11:32PM, we’re now tied for #1 on the Top 100!  One more click, and we set a speed record:  from a lowly 13 votes to the #1 Blog in only 10 days!

Whoop!  There it is!  At 11:36PM, we’re the #1 most voted blog on FuelMyBlog.

     So here’s where it started:

  • On 11-Apr-2007, I put the FuelMyBlog button in the sidebar.  Over the course of a week, a total of 13 people clicked it — and that’s it.
  • On 18-Apr-2007, I posted a blog about it.
  • On 19-Apr-2007, I was amazed to see we had more than 60 votes due in no small part to the post.
  • By 20-Apr-2007, we had around 130 votes.
  • By 22-Apr-2007, we made it to #13, so I posted about it again.
  • On 23-Apr-2007, I amazed to see us ranked #3.
  • On 27-Apr-2007, I made yet another post about us being at #2, and hoped to hit #1 by Saturday.
  • On 28-Apr-2007 at 11:36PM EDT, we hit #1.

So that’s it … I consider this experiment concluded.  You don’t have to hit the button anymore.  We made it in 10 days, and that’s all I really care about.  ;-)

More Fuel to the Fire

The FuelMyBlog logo went away from the sidebar last week, but thanks to the wonders of Feeds, it appears that we’re still getting a crapload of clicks.  I figured making it to the Top 10 (of the Top 100) was good enough… but…

You guys kept clicking!  We’re now #2 on the Top 100 and closing fast on #1.  Click it some more!  I wanna set a record:  from a lowly 13 votes to the #1 Blog in only 10 days!

Consider it Fueled

I put the FuelMyBlog logo up in the sidebar a week, maybe a week and a half ago, and nobody really clicked it — 13 votes.  So on Wednesday, I wrote the article about it.
It took off like a rocket!  All of a sudden, we’re ranked #4 on the Top 100.

That far exceeded my expectations.  I gotta give credit where credit is due — I asked, you clicked.  I thank you all for your participation.

[ Update - Monday, April 23, 2007 @ 10:33AM EDT ]

And the forward momentum continues, with us at #3

Uhhh, Hey, Beavis, Click my Button, huh huh

I didn’t think anyone noticed the “Fuel My Blog” button on the right side.  I put it at the top with ”Vote Often, Vote Daily!” next to it, but it’s been relatively ineffective.

Today, a couple of people have asked, “What is that?  I didn’t want to click it.”  Well, it’s a, uhh, well… I don’t know what it is.

But I figured with the tens of thousands of sessions we get weekly, maybe it’d go over well… I did it as an experiment to see how much people will actually click something that might look new and exciting.

     Apparently, not much.

This merely proves that we have some discerning readers who come here for text more than titillation. (*cough* *cough*  Sorry, I couldn’t say it with a straight face.)

Anyway … I wanna get blogitude.com up there on the “popular” list.  So, uhhh … Click away!

[ UPDATE 19-Apr-2007, 9:31AM EDT ]

“Ask and ye shall receive,” I guess — not only did you guys do it, but you got us up in the top third of the ListAnd we’re blog of the day?  Sweet!
I’m interested to see how long that can go on… ;-)

[ UPDATE 20-Apr-2007, 1:27AM EDT ]

We’re actually in the 13th spot, approaching twelve pretty quickly!  If people keep clicking, I can see us actually making 10 before the day’s out.  ;-)

And the Number of the Writers Shall be Seven

Blogitude.com would like to give a warm welcome to Diva Howe!

There will be Seven writers.  Seven will be the number of the Writers, and the number of the writers shall be Seven.  Eight there will not be, and neither shall there be Six, excepting that we proceed to count to Seven.  Nine is right out!
Unless, of course, I change my mind.  ;-)

I was inspired a bit from Monty Python and the Holy Grail:

A Reading from the Book of Armaments, Chapter 4, Verses 16 to 20:

16. Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, “Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy.

17. And the people did rejoice and did feast upon the lambs, and toads and tree-sloths, and fruit-bats and orangutans, and breakfast cereals …

18. Now did the Lord say, “First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three.

19. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out.

20. Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.

So, uh … Seven.  Not Eight.  Nor Six.  But Seven.

Oops, I Forgot to Mention…

In case anyone was paying attention, we got a new writer here at Blogitude.com, Zacque Hitchcock.  Zacque hails from Murr-a-vul, errr, Maryville, Tennessee.  I initially posted the “Spiders” video thanks to Zacque’s extremely warped sense of humor.
He’s already building quite a repertoire of posts, some of which have already made it on the “Most Popular” list on the right.  That’s a good thing.

So, thanks, Zacque, and welcome aboard!

Also, be sure to check out photos and bios for all of our writers.  You can even contact them directly or send general “Hey, blog about this!” sorts of feedback on our Contact page.

Speaking in Estrogen

A few months ago, when Monty started to return, I thought, “Ya know, we need some women writing on this blog.”

I was reading through a lot of blogs on LiveJournal, and trying to find someone who’d “be able to inject a bit of estrogen into our otherwise male-dominated blog.”  When I found a suitable subject and asked her about writing here at Blogitude.com, she was initially interested, but serious ever came the conversation.

Last night, I got an e-mail from her about a new post she’d written, and expressed interest in writing here.  And now … we’ve got a new writer!
     Welcome aboard, Kim!

Blogitude.com Revived and Revamped

Given the last “defeatist” post from Sam on Blogitude.com back in June, I’ve been given the go-ahead to take it over, myself.

     And so … Steelxsteel.com is now re-branding as Blogitude.com.

It’s taken a considerable amount of work to get things transferred over, and some of the images are broken and such, but bear with me.  Everything will be fixed in time.

I’m excited about this change!  It’s something that will increase my already growing readership, and will be a ensure that Blogitude.com doesn’t go away any time soon.  Hopefully, my contributions — along with those of Sam, Monty, Norton & Nadia — will add some value to this already established blog.

As well as all of this, there will be a few added writers and guests, so get ready for an All-New Blogitude.com!

9/11 Revisionists, Take 2

Since I posted about the joint effort between Blogitude.com & Instapinch.com making it a special point to lambast the 9//11 Revisionist, Spook911, there have been several new developments.  Foremost has been the revelation that Spooked claims to be a “biomedical researcher,” which should indicate that he has some grasp of Physics and Scientific Process.
     Fortunately for us, he doesn’t.

On July 9th, Pinch posted some links to Spook’s first experiment.  The experiment — using a bucket, some bent wire coathangers and gasoline — intended to disprove the fact that the WTC frame was made structurally inert by a hydrocarbon fire.
This, however, was merely a predecessor to the “better model,” which Pinch pointed out on June 28th.  This experiment — using an empty rabbit cage and kerosene — intended to prove the same.  The rabbit cage was his “better model” of the wire-frame construction of the WTC.

Using moonbat logic, the following things come to mind:

  • In the 1987 movie Fatal Attraction, an infatuated woman boils a family pet — a rabbit.  This also resulted in an empty rabbit cage.
  • Rabbit cages usually hold rabbits, which were used to test for pregnancy from 1927 onward, thus the phrase “Rabbit test.”
  • Wire coathangers have been increasingly difficult to find since the 1981 cinematic release of Mommy Dearest.
  • Star of Fatal Attraction, Michael Douglas, married Catherine Zeta-Jones.  The movie Rabbit Test stars Joan Rivers.  Mommy Dearest was the story of an abusive mother, Joan Crawford.

     More facts:

  • Rabbits are usually stuck with needles either in injecting placental blood during a rabbit test, to sedate them prior to killing them or when injecting them with substances during Biomedical Research.
  • Wire coat hangers are often used in makeshift drug laboratories to hold buckets and beakers over flame during the production of illicit drugs due to the fact that real laboratory equipment is extremely expensive.
  • “To jones” (two Joans, and an outright Jones) is to show physical symptons due to a physical or mental dependence, i.e. “to jones for a fix.”

Using moonbat logic and taking into account needles, wire coat hangers, buckets and “jones,” I have deduced that Spook is a methamphetamine addict.

     The evidence is right there!
