Committed Means Different Things

When you say the word “committed,” several different things come to mind.
Webster’s Dictionary provides the following insight into the word “committed:”
- gave in trust or charge; consigned.
- consigned for preservation: committed ideas to writing; to committed a poem to memory.
- pledged (oneself) to a position on an issue or question; expressed (one’s intention, feeling, etc.): Asked if he was a candidate, he refused to be committed.
- bound or obligated, as by pledge or assurance; pledged: committed oneself to a promise; committed to a course of action.
- entrusted, esp. for safekeeping; commended: committed her soul to God.
- did; performed; perpetrated: committed murder; committed an error.
- consigned to custody: committed a delinquent to a reformatory.
- placed in a mental institution or hospital by or as if by legal authority: He was committed on the certificate of two psychiatrists.
- delivered for treatment, disposal, etc.; relegated: committed a manuscript to the flames.
- sent into a battle: The commander has committed all his troops to the front lines.
- Parliamentary Procedure. refered (a bill or the like) to a committee for consideration.
- pledged or engaged oneself: an athlete who has committed to the highest standards.

Nor have I done much else besides… I miss you so bad I can’t stand it. The harder thing to admit is … I can’t live without you. It’s too difficult. I miss you too much.
I’ve had to put up with asshats from there threaening me on a daily basis. I’ve lost thirty pounds. I’ve been in the hospital five times. I’ve been arrested once, detained a couple of other times. It’s not your fault… I lose it without you.
I need you. The only thing that ever makes it feel any better… is you.
Without you, there’s nothing left. Without you, nothing matters. Without you, there is no Faith. Without you, there is no God. Without you, there is no life.
