I am happy to say my daughter's best friend made the Metropulse front page for his work on gay rights in High School. That's my daught in the background there somewhere.

I was also happy to see a very good comment link which answers a lot of questions and should be required reading for all Christians. Dred Pirate Brat, you'll find it very informative too. I know I did.

I was not aware that the psychological community had come to consensus between the hypotheses of 'learned behavior' versus 'physical cause.' I strongly believe in thankfully appreciating the wondrous variety found in all God's creation, but I'm not convinced that a person is 'born gay.' Don't effeminate boys and tom-boy girls seem to be expected by society to be gay, and are strongly influenced by that expectation during sexually formative years? Couldn't another influence be an abuser of one gender causing a victim to feel more comfortable bonding to a mate of the opposite gender of the abuser?

Being the proud mother of a happily wedded gay woman, I would love to access the data that convinced you some are born gay. I appreciate your blog, and am personally sickened by the thought of treating people poorly because they are different.
