And While We’re on Family…

In the middle of my meltdown, Jewel (one of our esteemed Monday Meleeists) called to let me know that her mother is in the hospital and on life support. No information as of yet, but I ask that people keep her in their thoughts.

Thank you, Mark. She had a heart attack, and is in respiratory failure. She’s in critical care on a ventillator, and as sedated as her low blood pressure will allow. No test results are available yet. Prayers are welcome. Thank you!

Any news on JuJu’s mama?

Mama’s still trying to figure out how to breathe. The nurses are mean to her and one nurse took her pin-cushion arm and told her to stop misbehaving. Since she’s restrained, on a ventillator, and unable to speak or move, I’m not sure what qualifies as misbehaving in the ICU. If I find the cranky nurse in the hat (Momma drew a picture), I’m gonna get real specific data on appropriate critical care patient behavior while Mark dangles the twit out a 3rd story window. Now misbehaving in the ICU family lounge is a different story. Think we can get Marty Ray to set us up with some Karaoke?

Ya know, that sounds like an extremely positive way for me to take out some latent hostility. I’m game!
